About me | Claire Zarb | Homeopath | London | Skype

During much of my teenage years and into my early 20s, I struggled with a sense of unwellness. For over a decade, I relied on the contraceptive pill and tried various strong acne medications in a desperate attempt to clear my skin. However, these approaches seemed to exacerbate my issues rather than resolve them.

Whenever I came off the pill, my periods became irregular, painful, and my emotions felt completely out of control. On top of that, working in a high-pressure sales environment added to my stress and anxiety, which manifested in digestive problems resembling Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

Feeling unhappy and physically unwell, I was eager to find a more natural solution to my problems. It was then that I decided to see a homeopath for guidance. The homeopathic consultation was a breath of fresh air, as the practitioner asked in-depth questions about my character, family health history, and symptoms. There was also a focus on exploring potential underlying causes of my health issues, including emotional traumas.

Homeopathy became a turning point in my life. It supported me in detoxifying from the various medications I had used for my skin and hormones, and I began to notice positive changes in both my physical and emotional well-being. I felt a newfound sense of calm, regained control over my emotions, and became less sensitive to negativity.

The transformation was so remarkable that it inspired me to take a bold step: I decided to leave my corporate job and embark on a journey to become a homeopath. Embracing this natural healing art has been one of the best decisions of my life.

Throughout the years, homeopathy has been a steadfast companion, supporting me through two pregnancies and births. It has helped me navigate the highs and lows of motherhood with confidence. I am grateful that my children have grown up with homeopathic remedies, which have been gentle yet effective in addressing their health needs.

Homeopathy has become more than just a career for me; it’s a way of life. It has not only healed my body but also nurtured my mind and soul, allowing me to live a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.

I was born in London but spent a lot of my childhood in Dorset. I am a bit of a mix with English, Georgian, Croatian & Maltese heritage (my maiden name, Zarb originates from Malta).

I hold a degree in Theatre Studies from Lancaster University.

Despite my degree I decided against a career in theatre and moved back to London in search of work.

After a stint in IT recruitment and sales management I knew I had found my true calling when I became a qualified homeopath in 2010.

I studied at The College of Practical Homeopathy in North London and everything just fell into place when I started this course, I knew intuitively that I was on the right path.

I now live in the picturesque market town of Frome, Somerset with my husband and our two daughters.

One of my favourite things to do is cook while listening to an uplifting podcast.

I already own a ridiculous number of cookbooks but every year another one is on my Christmas list (oops).

I love to read, predominately fiction but also plenty of fact and a good dollop of woo!

To keep fit, I dance, practice yoga and pilates and take long walks.

I also love to go to the theatre and as an ex-theatre student I am very thankful that I no longer have to write an essay on it afterwards!

If my story resonates with you and you would like to make improvements to your health, then please get in touch.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Having suffered from irregular periods for the past 14 years, baffling doctors as well as specialists, I was always on the look out for something to help. I’ve tried every contraception pill on the market, the injection, coil etc. Once stopping any treatment, my constant spotting returned. After a year and getting very fed up with it all, I gave in and did what the doctors had been advising for years “to go back on the pill’! Although the pill ensured that I had regular periods, I felt unhappy, even depressed, moody, anxious, bloated, stressed, tired, emotional, just not myself… It didn’t really occur to me that it was the pill that was making me feel this way. I came across Claire’s blog about the pill and how it can make people feel. I felt like she was writing it about me, I could have ticked each and every problem that she was talking about. I also learnt that the pill wasn’t regulating my periods at all, it was in fact just faking it each month! I decided then and there to stop taking it. Homeopathy was my last chance! Claire is so easy to talk and open up to. As well as being prescribed the magic homeopathic remedies, I felt like I got a lot out of our hour long sessions, using her as a therapist too. The remedies that she prescribed have already helped solve a lot of different issues. I’m thrilled not to be pumping drugs into my body and for the natural remedies to be proving themselves. Since the day that I started taking the remedies (which are delicious balls of what taste like sugar!), my periods have regulated themselves, which is amazing. I wasn’t expecting results so quickly! Also, I’ve generally felt so much happier, more relaxed and back in control. I intend to continue seeing Claire, she’s helping me with my IBS, anxiety and insomnia and general well being, which is priceless! I can’t thank Claire enough and I highly recommend her to anyone who needs help, in any area. She’s a calming influence, a brilliant listener and seriously knows her stuff!
