About me | Claire Zarb | Homeopath | London | Skype

For much of my teens and into my early-20’s I just didn’t feel ‘well’.

I’d taken the contraceptive pill for over 10 years and tried some strong acne drugs in a desperate bid to clear my skin.

When I wasn’t on the pill my periods were irregular, painful and my emotions were all over the place.

Working in a high-pressure sales environment led to feelings of anxiety and stress that were affecting my digestive system and giving me symptoms of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).

I felt unhappy and unhealthy and had no idea how to fix it.

I started looking for a more natural solution and booked in to see a homeopath.

I found the homeopathic consultation very refreshing. I was asked lots of questions about my character, my family health history and my symptoms, there was also a lot of focus on what might have been the cause of my health issues, including any emotional traumas.

Homeopathy helped me detox from the various medications I had tried for my skin and hormones and I started to see changes in not only my physical symptoms but my emotional ones too.

I felt calmer, more in control and less sensitive to negativity, I also found it easier to say ‘no’ and removed things from my life that no longer served me.

In fact, I was so impressed I decided to quit my corporate job to become a homeopath!

Homeopathy has also supported me through two pregnancies and births and helped me navigate the highs and lows of motherhood.

My children have grown up taking homeopathic remedies.

I was born in London but spent a lot of my childhood in Dorset. I am a bit of a mix with English, Georgian, Croatian & Maltese heritage (my maiden name, Zarb originates from Malta).

I hold a degree in Theatre Studies from Lancaster University.

Despite my degree I decided against a career in theatre and moved back to London in search of work.

After a stint in IT recruitment and sales management I knew I had found my true calling when I became a qualified homeopath in 2010.

I studied at The College of Practical Homeopathy in North London and everything just fell into place when I started this course, I knew intuitively that I was on the right path.

I now live in the beautiful market town of Frome, Somerset with my husband and our two daughters.

One of my favourite things to do is cook while listening to an uplifting podcast.

I already own a ridiculous number of cookbooks but every year another one is on my Christmas list (oops).

I love to read, predominately fiction but also plenty of fact and a good dollop of woo!

To keep fit, I dance, practice yoga and pilates and take long walks.

I also love to go to the theatre and as an ex-theatre student I am very thankful that I no longer have to write an essay on it afterwards!

If my story resonates with you and you would like to make improvements to your health, then please get in touch.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Claire

Having suffered from irregular periods for the past 14 years, baffling doctors as well as specialists, I was always on the look out for something to help. I’ve tried every contraception pill on the market, the injection, coil etc. Once stopping any treatment, my constant spotting returned. After a year and getting very fed up with it all, I gave in and did what the doctors had been advising for years “to go back on the pill’! Although the pill ensured that I had regular periods, I felt unhappy, even depressed, moody, anxious, bloated, stressed, tired, emotional, just not myself… It didn’t really occur to me that it was the pill that was making me feel this way. I came across Claire’s blog about the pill and how it can make people feel. I felt like she was writing it about me, I could have ticked each and every problem that she was talking about. I also learnt that the pill wasn’t regulating my periods at all, it was in fact just faking it each month! I decided then and there to stop taking it. Homeopathy was my last chance! Claire is so easy to talk and open up to. As well as being prescribed the magic homeopathic remedies, I felt like I got a lot out of our hour long sessions, using her as a therapist too. The remedies that she prescribed have already helped solve a lot of different issues. I’m thrilled not to be pumping drugs into my body and for the natural remedies to be proving themselves. Since the day that I started taking the remedies (which are delicious balls of what taste like sugar!), my periods have regulated themselves, which is amazing. I wasn’t expecting results so quickly! Also, I’ve generally felt so much happier, more relaxed and back in control. I intend to continue seeing Claire, she’s helping me with my IBS, anxiety and insomnia and general well being, which is priceless! I can’t thank Claire enough and I highly recommend her to anyone who needs help, in any area. She’s a calming influence, a brilliant listener and seriously knows her stuff!
