What steps will you take to feel good in 2013?
We often put a lot of pressure on ourselves in the New Year to set resolutions. In fact it is a great time to reflect on what is working for us and what we need to actively change. But it is also no surprise that by the end of January a lot of our good intentions and resolutions have been broken and we feel despondent and guilty.
In light of this I decided that 2013 was about taking just one small positive step towards feeling good. The step I have decided to make this year is to experiment with a regular meditation practice. For the past 2 weeks every week-day morning I stick in my earphones and listen to a 15 minute meditation recording. To be honest, I was a little sceptical that I would experience any benefits. But since I started the morning meditations I have noticed I’m much more in touch with my intuition, I feel more grounded and I’m able to concentrate better. The reason I know this is because the day I didn’t meditate I was running around a bit like a headless chicken and felt quite stressed!
Is there a regular practice that you could incorporate into your New Year in order to make yourself feel good? It needn’t be something you do every day and it doesn’t need to take long.
